clearance levels

Clearance levels are determined by your character’s length of time in the game. OOCly, you keep track of the time and what level you are so you know what your character can access on the Ingress Complex as well as when new planets are opened. ICly, this level is determined when your character is scanned for their “signature” study and is based on their experience levels with Ingress travel within this universe. The longer your character is here, the higher their clearance level will be.

Examples of Clearance Level usage: The monthly mod post goes up with all explorable planets and any CL’s that they might have—if any. Your character has access to anything with their CL and nothing higher. These planets will never close, so in the future when you have a higher CL you can come back and access those points then. It is also possible for characters with a higher CL to bring another of a lower CL with them to perform certain tasks, but this option will be noted with monthly posts (if applicable).
